Why CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates)?

Back in 2010, I joined the board of trustees for CASA Hudson County. It was here where I learned how important it is to speak up for the most vulnerable people within our society; our children. These children have been removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect and this organization was there to be the eyes and ears for the judge. Trained volunetter advocates speak up for these children in court and help find them a safe permanent and loving home, whether that be reunification or placement elsewhere.
