Hi Everyone! Let me tell you a little bit about me and how Gold Ivy came to be!

For starters, I LOVE being warm under a blanket and I LOVE giving back to causes that are deserving of our love and attention.
The goal: To design a comfy, cozy, luxurious, blanket that also gives back.
How it all started. . . I was given the opportunity to travel around the world from a very young age and have lived all over the United States, (Arizona, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Hawaii, and Virginia!)
Being on the move and constantly exploring taught me how to be agile, resilient, and always on my toes. I have absolutely no fear when trying something new and over the years, I have developed the confidence to launch a cause driven brand with little experience in entrepreneurship!

My experience hosting The Give Back Model Podcast over the past 2 years showed me that I actually was an entrepreneur, and it reminded me that most entrepreneurs dive in for the passion and the cause and ultimately figure it all out as they go, which pretty much sums me up!

My successful background in sales and business development, my resources in marketing and finance, and my behind-the-scenes design and production team, Fabric To Finish, has allowed me to create these incredibly comfy, cozy, luxurious blankets from which I am dedicating 10% of net profits to organizations that advocate for children. I have chosen local CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) programs to receive the donations for my launch collection.

I decided on the name Gold Ivy, because it reminds me of the way the beautiful ivy leaf grows and multiplies, much like how I envision a movement of people giving back to their neighbors and communities in need.

Thank you for reading my story and thank you for supporting what I feel is not only an incredible product but an incredible mission statement and cause. I must give a special shout out to my husband, Tony, for helping me solidify this idea, and to my two fabulously amazing children Camden and Evelyn for being my biggest cheerleaders and the biggest fans of these blankets!

Stay Warm,
Christine

Why CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates)?

Back in 2010, I joined the board of trustees for CASA Hudson County. It was here where I learned how important it is to speak up for the most vulnerable people within our society; our children. These children have been removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect and this organization was there to be the eyes and ears for the judge. Trained volunetter advocates speak up for these children in court and help find them a safe permanent and loving home, whether that be reunification or placement elsewhere.
